Just 2 hours from Kyoto City by train is Japan's "bridge to heaven," a natural landbridge that crosses the sea, covered in pine trees with walking paths and beaches on both sides. Hot springs inns and hotels that specialize in local cuisine as well as heritage artisans are the main reasons to visit.

Itinerary
Day 1
8:38 Depart from Kyoto Station, 10:40 meet guide at Amanohashidate Station for half day walking tour, 15:00 check in to accommodation.

Day 2
free day to explore Amanohashidate or visit the Ine boathouse village up the coast. The bus to Ine takes one hour and leaves once an hour from Amanohashidate Station

Day 3
9:30 or 9:45 meet guide in hotel lobby for a half day visit with a heritage artisan. Guests can choose from a tatami weaving workshop, a silk & design workshop, or wisteria weaving workshop.
